It originated from rock and roll, rhythm and blues, country music, folk music, jazz, and classical music. Rock revolves around the guitar back beat. Sounds from electric bass guitar, drums, and keyboard instruments such as organ, piano are used. Along with the guitar, keyboards, saxophone, and blues-style harmonica are used as soloing instruments. In its purest form, it has three chords, a strong, insistent back beat, and a catchy melody. Many people listen to rock music, it is a great genre of music.
