1970's are important because they are the years in which hip hop first started. In the 1970's my favorite genre of music was formed. Hip hop is a great genre of music when it is used correctly. 1970's help me to this day, because I listen to hip hop on my way to places and it gets me hype and excited for my basketball games. I greatly appreciate the joy that hip hop brings to my heart. I love the rhythm and the lyrics to the music. The songs convey messages and bring a true sense of emotion. That is why the 1970's are important.
